Managed IT and workplace support.
Day-to-day IT for companies without an IT department, or with one that is stretched: a service desk your staff can call, user accounts and devices kept in order, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administered properly, and someone accountable when something stops working.
Managed IT means we take over operational responsibility for the IT your people use every day. The scope is written down per client; the list below is what a typical engagement contains.
Service desk and user support
A single address for every IT question. Requests are logged, prioritised and answered by remote support; on-site visits are arranged where needed.
- Password resets, access requests, software installation
- Troubleshooting of laptops, printers, phones and applications
- Guidance for staff on Microsoft 365, Teams and other tools
- Escalation to vendors — internet providers, software suppliers — on your behalf
- A ticket history you can see
Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration
Mail, calendars, shared files and video calls run on one of these two platforms in most companies. We set them up correctly and keep them that way.
- Tenant configuration, domains and the DNS records mail depends on (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
- Mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, retention rules
- SharePoint / OneDrive or Google Drive structure and sharing rules
- Teams or Meet, and telephony integration where used
- Licence management: the right plan per user, unused licences removed
Identity, accounts and access
Who can reach what is the foundation of security. We manage it as a process, not a one-off.
- Central identity (Microsoft Entra ID or Google) and single sign-on for business applications
- Multi-factor authentication for every account, administrators first
- Role-based access, least privilege, regular access reviews
- Joiner, mover and leaver procedures with checklists
- A company password manager, rolled out and supported
Devices and mobile device management
Laptops, desktops and phones enrolled, encrypted, updated and — if lost — wiped remotely.
- Enrolment of Windows, macOS, iOS and Android devices (Intune or equivalent)
- Disk encryption, screen locks and update policies
- Standard software set-ups and self-service app installation
- Endpoint protection (see Cyber security)
- Inventory: who has which device, since when, with which software

Vendors, licences and documentation
The administrative side of IT, kept in one place.
- One inventory of contracts, licences, domains and renewal dates
- Coordination with internet providers, telephony and software vendors
- Documentation of your environment, kept current and handed to you
- A quarterly review: what changed, what to plan, what to retire
Inventory weeks 1–2
Accounts, devices, licences, contracts, domains, mail flow and shared data are recorded. Missing administrator access is recovered from the previous provider or the vendor.
Stabilise weeks 2–4
The things that matter most first: multi-factor authentication everywhere, backups of mailboxes and files verified, unpatched devices updated, unused administrator accounts removed.
Standardise weeks 4–6
Device policies, onboarding and offboarding checklists, a service-desk address staff know, documentation handed to you.
Operate monthly
Tickets, changes and patching as routine; a monthly report and a quarterly planning call.
- Service desk: unlimited requests within the agreed scope during business hours.
- Administration of Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, identities and devices.
- Monitoring: device health, update status, mail-flow and licence alerts.
- Onboarding and offboarding of staff within one business day of notice.
- Documentation: an up-to-date record of your environment, yours to keep.
- Reporting: a monthly summary of tickets, changes, risks and planned work.
- Not included by default: hardware purchasing, cabling and on-site network installation. We specify and coordinate them; partners carry them out.
We have five people. Is this too small for a managed-IT contract?
No. Small teams are the usual case. The retainer is priced per user and scales with the company; the set-up work — MFA, backups, device policies — is the same whether there are five users or fifty.
We already have someone who does IT part-time.
That works well with us. We take the routine and the out-of-hours worries; your internal person keeps the local knowledge and gets a second line to escalate to. The split is written into the scope.
Do you work on-site?
Support is remote first, because it is faster. On-site work in Vienna and the surrounding region is arranged as needed; elsewhere in Europe we coordinate local technicians for physical tasks.
What about our servers?
Physical or cloud servers are covered under Hosting and infrastructure or Cloud management, usually within the same contract.
Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?
Both are mature. Companies working with Office documents, Teams and Windows PCs tend to be better served by Microsoft 365; teams that live in the browser are often well served by Google Workspace. We administer both and advise on the basis of what your staff and partners actually use.
